Fantastic light stand. I'm really impressed with the level of quality. The stand goes up 10 feet, which makes it perfect for events like wedding receptions and corporate parties. It's air cushioned, so if the knob gives out or isn't fully tightened down, your gear won't come crashing down and break. The base is nice and wide and adjustable to help fit into smaller corners and spaces. I am very hard on my equipment, and tend to go through light stands. I've owned quite a few, and I keep spare knobs and screws on hand just in case one strips (looking at you Flashpoint). The knobs here are made of metal and not cheap plastic, so they feel like they will last a while before they get too torn up. And at the price point, these are very affordable stands that should make a lot of abuse for a long time to come.

Das Lichtstativ ist wertig verarbeitet, sehr stabil und trägt problemlos schwere Lichter oder Softboxen aber auch für meine Zwecke meinen Beamer.Das Stativ lässt sich von 115 cm bis auf eine Höhe von 300 cm verstellen und ist für verschiedene Foto- und Studio-Setups einsetzbar. Es ist ideal für Studioleuchten, Softboxen, Blitzgeräte und weiteres Fotozubehör geeignet.Es ist für eine Tragfestigkeit bis zu 5 kg ausgelegt und mit seinen verstärkten Beinverstrebungen sorgt es für zuverlässige Stabilität bei Studio-Setups.Das Produkt steht auf ebenem Boden als auch auf unebenen Flächen sehr stabil.Der Aufbau selbst geht erwartungsgemäß schnell und problemlos vonstattenAm Stativ selbst kann alles angebracht werden, Ausgestattet mit einem Standard-Baby-Pin und 1/4"- sowie 3/8" passt zu allen gängigen Kameragewinde und einem Bolzen, der für Lichtsysteme ist.Es ist für horizontale oder vertikale Einstellungen einstellbar.Auf glatten Untergründen wie Fliesen, etc. steht das Stativ sicher und neigt nicht zum Rutschen. Bestellt nicht nur als Lichtstativ, sondern als Universalstativ für temporäre Nutzung in "zivilisierten" Umgebungen. Was dafür notwendig ist, bringt das Stativ nach Herstellerangaben mit.Angekommen ist das Stativ selbst und eine bebilderte Kurzbeschreibung in englischer Sprache. Alles macht einen gut verarbeiteten und soliden Eindruck, der durch das Gewicht von ca. 2,4 kg noch unterstrichen wird. Die Segmente kommen gefettet und sind spielfrei. Am Stativ kann alles angebracht werden, was eines der beiden gängigen Kameragewinde oder Buchse/Bolzen der Lichtsysteme hat, und das horizontal oder vertikal.Ausprobiert: Der Aufbau selbst geht erwartungsgemäß schnell und problemlos vonstatten. Das Ausklappen der Füße ist ein bisschen schwergängig, was aber nicht weiter störend ist. Das Stativ steht anschließend auf den Kanten der Füße, also auf einer sehr kleinen Fläche. Ich hatte deshalb Bedenken wegen der Rutschsicherheit, die sich aber bislang nicht bestätigt haben. Auch auf sehr glatten Untergründen stand das Stativ sicher und neigte nicht zum Rutschen. Überhaupt verkraftet es auch schwerere Lasten, ohne kipplig zu wirken. Allerdings neigt es bei größerem Auszug sehr heftig zum Schwingen. Bei Lichtanwendungen im Heimbereich oder im Semiprofibereich ist das verkraftbar, will man eine Kamera montieren, muss man die damit verbundenen Einschränkungen hinnehmen.Fazit: Ein sauber verarbeitetes, recht universell verwendbares Stativ für Innenanwendungen. Dank geringer Größe im nicht entfalteten Zustand braucht es nur wenig Platz und kann platzsparend aufbewahrt werden. Etwas problematisch ist die große Schwingungsneigung bei hohem Auszug.Es handelt sich hier um die Bewertung eines kostenfrei zu Testzwecken zur Verfügung gestellten Produktes. Auf den Inhalt dieser Rezension hat das keinen Einfluss.

Das RAUBAY Lichtstativ macht einen soliden Eindruck.Die maximale Höhe wird zwar mit 300 cm angegeben, realistisch nutzbar sind jedoch etwa 290 cm. 300 cm klappt nur, wenn die Füße steil nach unten gestellt werden, dann ist es natürlich instabil.Alle Verbindungen sind geschraubt, d. h. es klappert nichts unnötig.Das Lichtstativ hat einen Gummipuffer auf der Unterseiten, der beim Aufstellen hilfreich ist und den Fußboden schont.Der Preis ist allerdings ambitioniert, ca 10 Euro weniger erscheint mit (im Vergleich zu Mitbewerbern) angemessen.

This is the best light stand I ever have, and now, I am thinking that whether it works better that the tripod for my kind of applications. As a heavy-duty light stand, max height 3m, folded height 96cm, payload 5kg, product weight 2.3kg, center tube diameter 22/25/30/35mm. It feels sturdier than my main tripod at the double the price, though it has a heavier payload, but 5kg payload is more than enough for me.People believe that light stand is not as stable as tripod. However, if we look closely, it is not necessarily true. Normally, I don't need more than 2m-height for cameras, so with the thicker tubes, it is more stable. The height adjustment becomes much easier, plus with bult-in air cushion system, and the small footprint makes convenient stand movement.Raubay also makes extreme tall video camera sports tripod stand (16ft and 24ft), in the same construction as this 10ft light stand. From now on, I will use this light stand as my main tripod, or even for travel. Of course, time will tell. How do you think?
