🟡EINLEITUNGFotografieren ist eines meiner größten Hobbys, und ich sammle ständig neue, coole Kameraausrüstung. Ich erhielt das Angebot, diesen gebogenen Reflektor mit Schnellverschluss von RAUBAY zu testen, und dachte mir, dass er nützlich sein könnte.Ich besitze bereits einige andere Reflektoren, nutze sie jedoch selten. Ich habe sowohl runde als auch ovale Modelle. Diese sind deutlich größer, nehmen viel Platz ein und erweisen sich für meine Zwecke als wenig praktikabel. Ich vermutete daher, dass dieses gebogene, rechteckige Modell nützlicher sein könnte als meine bisherigen Reflektoren.🟢 TESTERGEBNISSEIch war von diesem Reflektor sehr beeindruckt. Ich hatte erwartet, dass er besser sein würde als meine anderen Modelle – und das ist er tatsächlich.Es gibt einige Aspekte an diesem Reflektor, die mir besonders gut gefallen. Ein großartiges Merkmal ist das faltbare Design. Dank dieser Konstruktion lässt sich der Reflektor schnell aufbauen und ebenso einfach verstauen.Ein weiteres hervorragendes Feature ist die integrierte Stativhalterung. Die meisten Reflektoren verfügen nicht über eine solche Halterung, die eine einfache Befestigung an einem Lichtstativ ermöglicht – dieses Modell jedoch schon. Die Stativhalterung erlaubt es, den Reflektor mühelos in jeder gewünschten Position auszurichten; zudem lässt sich der Neigungswinkel mithilfe des Adapters individuell anpassen.Auch das gebogene Design erweist sich als äußerst praktisch. Dieser Reflektor lässt sich zwar in jeder Situation als Lichtformer einsetzen, ist jedoch primär dafür konzipiert, bei der Porträtfotografie unterhalb der zu fotografierenden Person positioniert zu werden.Die meisten Fotografen wissen bereits, was ein Reflektor ist, aber für diejenigen, die ihn nicht kennen, kann man ihn sich ähnlich wie eine Lampe vorstellen.Wenn Sie beispielsweise eine einzelne Lampe oben und einen Reflektor wie diesen unten haben, der nach oben zeigt, wird ein Teil des Lichts von der Lampe vom Reflektor abgelenkt und in eine andere Richtung gestreut. Dadurch entsteht ein Effekt, der dem Vorhandensein einer zweiten Lichtquelle ähnelt.Ich habe den Reflektor getestet, indem ich ihn so verwendet habe, wie er hauptsächlich gedacht ist. Anstelle einer echten Person nutzte ich jedoch einen Schaufensterpuppenkopf. Ich habe Fotos von den Ergebnissen gemacht, und die Ergebnisse sind großartig.Zunächst fotografierte ich den Schaufensterpuppenkopf lediglich mit einer einzelnen Lichtquelle, die seitlich von oben auf ihn gerichtet war. Das Licht leuchtete zwar eine Hälfte des Kopfes gut aus, ließ die andere Seite jedoch im Schatten liegen – das Ergebnis wirkte optisch wenig ansprechend. Anschließend platzierte ich den Reflektor unterhalb des Schaufensterpuppenkopfes, was die Ausleuchtung der Szene dramatisch verbesserte. Anstatt dass eine Seite des Kopfes sehr dunkel blieb, half der Reflektor dabei, den gesamten Kopf auszuleuchten – und das Ergebnis sah deutlich besser aus.Insgesamt war ich mit diesem Reflektor sehr zufrieden. Er funktioniert hervorragend, und ich bin froh, ihn zu besitzen.🟣QUALITÄTDie Qualität dieses Reflektors ist sehr gut. In der Produktbeschreibung heißt es lediglich, er bestehe aus Kunststoff und Stoff; die Hauptbestandteile des Rahmens sind jedoch aus Metall gefertigt. Er wirkt recht robust und langlebig.Der Reflektor ist faltbar, was einen schnellen und einfachen Auf- und Abbau sowie eine problemlose Aufbewahrung ermöglicht.Zum Lieferumfang gehören schwarze, weiße und goldene Stoffbezüge, mit denen sich unterschiedliche Lichteffekte erzeugen lassen.🔴KRITIKPUNKTEBisher habe ich keine nennenswerten Kritikpunkte.Manche Käufer mögen enttäuscht sein, dass kein Lampenstativ im Lieferumfang enthalten ist; ich selbst besitze jedoch bereits zahlreiche Stative und benötige keine weiteren.🟠PREIS-LEISTUNGS-VERHÄLTNISDer aktuelle Preis für diesen gebogenen Reflektor liegt bei 74,99 €, wobei ein zeitlich begrenzter Gutschein den Preis auf 67,49 € senkt.Zunächst hielt ich den Preis für etwas hoch und sah mich daher nach Alternativen um. Ich fand einige ähnliche gebogene Reflektoren, deren Preisniveau in etwa dem dieses Modells entsprach. Einige der Konkurrenzprodukte verfügten jedoch nicht über die praktische Faltfunktion, die dieses Modell bietet – ein Feature, das ich persönlich als sehr vorteilhaft erachte.Ich kann zwar nicht beurteilen, wie es um die Qualität der anderen Modelle bestellt ist; da dieser Reflektor jedoch qualitativ hochwertig verarbeitet ist, halte ich den Preis für angemessen.Zudem besitze ich bereits zwei weitere Produkte von RAUBAY: ein Lampenstativ sowie eine Nivellierbasis für Stative. Da ich auch mit diesen Produkten zufrieden war, scheint es sich bei RAUBAY um eine empfehlenswerte Marke zu handeln.🔵FAZITDies ist ein sehr guter gebogener Reflektor. Der Reflektor macht insgesamt einen wirklich hochwertigen Eindruck und ist sauber verarbeitet. Besonders praktisch finde ich den Schnellöffnungs- und Schließmechanismus – dadurch ist er in wenigen Sekunden einsatzbereit und genauso schnell wieder verstaut. Gerade wenn man öfter unterwegs ist oder beim Fotografieren und Filmen Zeit sparen möchte, ist das ein echter Vorteil.Sehr gut gefällt mir auch die Vielseitigkeit. Durch die verschiedenen Reflektorflächen in Weiß, Schwarz und Silber kann man das Licht je nach Situation gezielt anpassen – egal ob zum Aufhellen, Abschatten oder für stärkere Reflexionen. Dadurch eignet sich der Reflektor sowohl für Foto- als auch Videoaufnahmen.Positiv ist außerdem, dass sich der Reflektor problemlos auf einem Stativ montieren lässt. Das macht das Arbeiten deutlich angenehmer, besonders wenn man alleine filmt oder fotografiert.Die mitgelieferte Tragetasche finde ich ebenfalls sehr praktisch. Der Reflektor überzeugt durch eine sehr gute Verarbeitung und hochwertige Qualität. Der Aufbau ist einfach und schnell erledigt, sodass man direkt mit dem Setup starten kann. Besonders praktisch ist die Möglichkeit, den Reflektor auf ein Stativ zu stecken - dadurch muss er nicht per Hand gehalten werden, was die Arbeit deutlich erleichtert. Die verschiedenen enthaltenen Reflektoroberflächen bieten viel Flexibilität für unterschiedliche Lichtstimmungen. Abgerundet wird das Ganze durch eine praktische Tragetasche, die den Transport und den Einsatz unterwegs erleichtert. Insgesamt ein durchdachtes und vielseitiges Tool für Foto- und Videoaufnahmen.

I get a lot of reflector acreage with this product by Raubay.When I first peeked in the case bag, I thought uh oh, this might be more complicated than I thought. Turned out not to be the case. The main unit is already assembled. The only thing that needs to be added are additional reflectors...if any at all. It has a white one by default.The place where all of the stress occurs (opening and closing) is all metal and seems robust. Each side is done on its own, and each side clicks in firmly. You'll know it when it happens.Adding additional (provided) reflectors is very easy. I just twist the reflector to vertical, and the velcro does the rest. I can swap out reflectors in seconds. It has the potential to throw a lot of light, and at wide spaces...either horizontally, vertically, or anything in between.The only plastic part is the light stand adapter. That's fine, not a stress point. It does allow me to point the reflector anyway I wish to.Really nice size and a good value in my opinion. Probably not your first reflector, but it fills a niche and then some.Recommended.

Curved reflectors have been a key part of a portrait kit for a few years and Raubay has offered up a lightweight, portable option that well made, perfectly sized, and is easy to put together on site. The material feels durable (of course time will tell) and I've not had any issue with it.The reflector comes with a carry bag which I appreciate for organizational purposes. You can easily fold down the reflector and store it with the stand adapter in the carry bag. As expected, it comes with a silver, white, gold, and black option for the reflector to control the light just how you wish. The light stand adapter is a key piece of the product, allowing you to attach this to a light stand or really anything with a similar connector.This is now part of my go bag for jobs and I look forward to using it in the future.

Its setup is quick and easy thanks to its fast-release system. I had it ready to use in just a few minutes, without any complications. It measures 48 x 26 inches, large enough to cover the model well, and is very easy to move around the studio. It includes four surfaces: black, white, silver, and gold. Each one provides a different effect. White is useful for soft, natural highlights; silver provides greater intensity and contrast; gold is perfect for warm, pleasant skin tones; and I use black to block light and create sharp shadows. The RAUBAY Quick-Open Curved Reflector is an excellent value and extremely convenient and easy to use. This reflector comes with a bag that includes a stand mount and additional reflecting materials. You get silver, black, white, and gold reflector surfaces. The reflector sets up in seconds folding each side open and you're ready to go. A button on each side allows for a quick collapse and take down. I use this reflector for low positions to reflect up and reduce shadows. This can also be used for a side reflector as well. This reflector is definitely needed for your lighting kit.

Gotta give it to them, this makes a clamshell/trifold/u-shape system so easy. It's super fast to deploy, and the mechanism is super easy. The release is also very very easy to engage.It's light enough to be super portable and wieldy enough that a client could hold it. If you've ever had a client ever use a reflector for tanning, this would be intuitive for them to use.The results look good and very pleasant. Breaks down super small also, and the whole thing breaks down to about the size of an umbrella . Very nice portability.Awesome for portraiture. It is a little bit on the thinner side by design so slightly worried about how it will handle use and abuse, but for the ease of it's deployment, it's really nice.

This curved reflector by RAUBAY Concept is of good craftsmanship.This quick-open clamshell light reflector is very well made. The innovative style is in fact quick opening and easy to use. The build quality is very nice, it has a nice quality weight and feel to it; the size is perfect for both vertical as well as horizontal. The versatility of this reflector makes it great for both portraiture and still life photography.Overall I am very pleased with this product. It's lightweight, durable, portable and for the money I find it to be of good value in more ways than one which makes it a product that I would highly recommend.

I had REALLY wanted the Westcott Eyelighter but it was so incredibly expensive. When I finally decided to get a curved reflector, I went with the Neewer quick-open one instead, and it served me well. I didn't find any issue with it but it also wasn't as satisfying to use, or felt as premium. This Raubay though, feel so much better to open and close, and while the prices between the two are about identical, it just feels better and more sturdy than the Neewer. They look fairly similar, but the Raubay is thinner, and therefore also folds a little smaller, which is great for when I need to store it away. Definitely recommend.

I picked up this RAPIDLITE curved reflector mainly for portrait work, and the clamshell design makes it much easier to get flattering fill light without a third or fourth light depending on your setup. The quick-open frame is convenient, and easy to setup and break down. The 48" x 26" size gives good coverage for headshots and upper-body shots. I like having the different surfaces (white, silver, gold, and black) in one kit since it makes it easy to adjust the look depending on the shoot. It works perfectly outside where you want to use the natural lighting, but there may be a bit too much shadow on the lower side of the face.It's a little larger to store than a standard flat reflector, but the size is also what makes it so useful. Overall, it's a practical lighting tool that helps soften shadows and speed up studio setup.
