As advertised. I use it to get my all-sky camera above houselight level for shooting at night. I keep straps on it to anchor from swaying, as I need the camera to be still for time-lapse shooting. Fairly simple to use. I like the fact it has a bag, as well.

This took my Nikon Z6ii and the frame to new heights. The knuckles are made of metal and are very robust. The only plastic I could find were on the thumb screws on the legs and the camera mount which isn't a big deal. I put an arm on the stand so the camera isn't looking straight down the extensions. Even with this addition I felt the whole setup was secure. This is going to be a lot of fun.

I shoot a lot of real estate but could never get good elevated shots without using a drone. I just couldn't find a stand that was tall enough for my mirrorless camera that I would trust. Took a chance on this one and am glad I did! It is very heavy duty. Even extended the full height I felt my camera was secure up in the air. I rigged up a little safety strap at the top which is always a good idea especially if you are using a rather expensive camera. The base is very side providing a ton of stability. You can see how thick the tubes are in the photo with my thumb in the picture for scale and I have rather large hands. Everything is metal here, no cheap plastic parts. The air cushioning brings everything down nice and slow so even if you have a heavy bit of gear up in the air it won't come crashing down.It's not cheap at $199 but if you are putting a camera or other expensive gear 16 feet up in the air the last thing you want to do is cheap out! Once you hold this in your hands you can feel the high quality and sturdy build. If this was sold by a well known manufacturer I have no doubt it would be at least twice the price.

I don’t normally write reviews, but this tripod is AMAZING! Very high quality, easily portable using the case straps as a backpack, and very reasonably priced. I used it for the first time recording video of a 3-day volleyball tournament in DC with my GoPro 10 and captured every moment for the team. The height of this tripod enabled a much better view of the action than traditional camera tripods, to the delight of parents, players and the coach - using the higher video angle to easily show player movement on every play. This is the only tripod that I’ll use going forward. It’s literally a game changer!I used a rechargeable lithium battery, which stores perfectly in the tripod leg frame, and long cable to power the GoPro on a single charge all day vs changing GoPro batteries.It comes with one cable clip, but I ended up looping the power cable around each of the S-knobs down the pole to secure it firmly in place. So, I didn’t need the cable clip.The base is very stable - it could take a direct hit from a stray volleyball and would not be knocked around or over - unlike lesser tripods.The air cushion telescoping tube design is super nice, preventing runaway collapse of the tubing when making adjustments or taking down. And it was easy to turn the tubing of any section to adjust the camera view without rotating the legs, again - unlike other tripods.Would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this product!!

This is an outrageously well-made tripod with unbelievable value. It is extremely sturdy and well made. The telescoping function works well with air-cushioned sections giving a lot of sturdiness. The clamps open and tighten easily and the base can be adjusted.I love the dual-threaded adapter that can be mounted in any direction giving a lot of flexibility.The height is IMPRESSIVE. I mounted a DJI Osmo Pocket to the top and used the tripod to emulate low drone flights in areas where it is not possible to fly.I was skeptical of the quality before I ordered it because the price was similar to a well made tripod of 6'. Don't be fooled by the low price: this is a great tripod and very glad I purchased.

We use this with the antenna so that we can put it away when we are not at the trailer and it’s fabulous! Easy to set up and take down quickly if the weather turns bad.

We use a GoPro for soccer games and it's the perfect height.

Raubay came all the way out of nowhere. I hadn't heard of them, and assumed they were just another one of those. They're not. I've gotten a few of their products, not even realizing they were the same brand, until after being impressed a few times in a row. I didn't have high hopes for this stand, other than it's high height. Haha. Turns out, if I had known about Raubay, I would've gotten it if it were a third of the height, because I'd know it was decent quality. The plastic parts are about 3X the toughness of the average stand like this. I put my heaviest lights and gear on it (like a 2ft Flapjack panel that weighs a tonne). Sits really solid. Love the air cushion. This thing is great, and so are the other lights and things I've gotten. I hope to see more of their stuff in the future. 👍

Met expectations and did what I needed it to do!

So first impressions in a word, awesome !I am working on a video review for this but since that thing is huge and I’m trying to respect my families privacy, it’s been a little difficult to make.But this light stand is absolutely fantastic. If you were in a situation where you need a highlight source, this will work. This goes higher than any other piece of gear I have and it is extremely well-built. The central poles are spring cushioned which will save you from any nasty surprises when you take down your equipment or even if you accidentally didn’t tighten up every section adequately.This is designed like an average normal light stand however the designers took into account what happens when you scale something a bigger and they made the hardware much busier than it had to be in order to secure your gear and make sure that the oversize unit performer well. That means that the locks and the clamps are larger than they need to be but that is absolutely fine so it gives me a nice feeling of security when I put an expensive light on top of this thing. The end the spring cushioning is extraordinarily well-made. It’s not just a spring at the bottom of the tube that adds to a little balance. This thing slowly lowers as if it was on hydraulics, I don’t know how they made it but this is absolutely how something of the size should function.No of course you might need to use sandbags or some other kind of weight because this thing is so tall of course you’re going to have a balance issues but that is not a flaw of the unit, it’s just how gravity and physics work. I would definitely want to secure the base. Although it is extremely wide and they did a great job of making a solid support base for such a large tripod. Still, especially in windy environments you are not going to want any surprises. An actual clamping arm might be used to make sure that the unit stays put. Or you can put sandbags on the legs.I think I mentioned how solidly built this was. I only have one criticism is that it doesn’t come with the case. I like to protect my gear and I like them to come with cases and because this thing is so enormous, no one is likely to have a case that will fit those just laying around. But you definitely want to spend another $20-$30 to protect your investment.

We needed a tripod to record our teams’ soccer game, this tripod is perfect. You can put a VEO on it as well and more than half the price of the VEO tripod

I was hesitant to buy it given it doesn’t have any reviews, but this was a great purchase! Very stable and heavy duty. The box it was shipped in was pretty crappy and banged up, but that didn’t effect the functionality of the item.
