The Raubay screens are always very good quality with useful features. This screen is inside an attractive and strong steel case and the screen is made of a smooth material that does not reflect light. This Raubay model is a special motorized version which you operate from buttons on the remote control OR on the control box that is integrated on the power cable.The screen size is 78.7" x 86.6" so it is highly functional for all types of photo-video shooting situations being so wide and tall. There is no carry handle and it's just one long metal tube that contains the retractable screen. This is obviously not going to be a portable screen but one that you mount in your studio.There are 2 mounting options and the accessory "S" hooks and screws are provided:> A metal hook on top which you can use to hang with "S" hooks from the ceiling> A built-in metal mounting bracket on the back which you can use to drill screws to a wallRemote has 3 buttons which are easy to figure out: up, down, and pause/stop. There is a plastic "holster" that the remote slides into that you can screw to the wall so that the remote is always handy. The screen has detection so it automatically stops when it reaches full retraction or full extension. The stop button lets you stop at an intermediate point if you prefer a shorter length than the full extension.I chose to get the screen in blue and it is a vibrant color that will allow for chroma key. I prefer this to green as I think blue makes for a decorative touch if I just want to pull it down, even if I'm not doing photography.The benefit of this model with the motorized screen are:> It mounts so it's ready to go at any time> It's super big and constructed of good materials> It opens with the touch of a button so you don't have to bend way down or stand on your tippy toes to try and reach up high> It never wrinkles or gets dirty because you push a button to coil it up when you are done for the dayThis is a super value that saves you time and energy in a studio if you frequently use a backdrop.
I've acquired multiple Raubay backdrops and have been very happy with each and every one of them. This is my first motorized unit, and I'm still just as happy. The motor is very functional, smooth, and quiet, and I love that it can be plugged in for power on either side. I got the blue backdrop because I needed that color, and it is color accurate to me. The screen itself is very durable, rolls up nicely, and deploys nicely, with minimal wrinkles. The size is perfect. I do wish there was a way to mount it to stands, but for now I'm using the hanging mount without much issue.
